In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 in effect in our country and related regulations, it is a legal obligation for every person working at height to receive this training practically. Our training curriculum is fully compliant with TS 13885 standards and ensures that personnel take a “safe step” into the field.

Basic Working at Height Training: Risk Awareness and Legal Legislation

In our basic level program, participants are not only introduced to equipment; the interdisciplinary logic of working at height is also conveyed. Within the scope of the training, the differences between dangerous situations and unsafe behaviors are analyzed. By teaching the hierarchy between Fall Arrest Systems and collective protection methods (guardrails, safety nets), the aim is for personnel to ensure their environmental safety first and then their personal safety.

In this process, by introducing the Fall Factor concept, the static and dynamic effects of incorrect equipment usage on the human body are visualized. Furthermore, as required by the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Occupational Health and Safety Training, ways to avoid occupational accidents and safe working methods are presented in a theoretical and practical integrity.

PPE Usage and Safe Access Techniques

In the practical phase of the training, personnel are ensured to specialize in the equipment they will use most in the field. The cornerstones of this module are:

PPE Donning Practice: Perfect fit of full-body harnesses (EN 361) to the body, functional use of connection points (chest and back).

Lanyards and Shock Absorbers: Operating principles of lanyards with shock absorbers (EN 355) that dampen impact force in the event of a fall.

Carabiners and Connectors: Safe locking mechanisms and correct connection techniques to anchor points.

Access to Lifelines: Gaining safe mobility on horizontal and vertical lifelines (EN 795 / EN 353).

Equipment Maintenance: Daily checklists for personal gear, storage conditions, and “out of service” criteria.

Training Title

Basic Working at Height and Competence Training

Training Duration

1 Day (8 Hours) – Basic Competence Module

Training Method

Face-to-face (1/2 Day Theoretical + 1/2 Day Practical)

Target Participant

Personnel starting new work at height, Maintenance Teams.

Training Location

Arga Safety Application Station or Company Site.

Certificate

Basic Working at Height Certificate of Participation

Number of Participants

1 Group (Maximum 15 Persons)

Number of Trainers

1 or 2 Technical Trainers (depending on the number of participants)

Training Language

Turkish

Transportation & Accommodation

Coordinated by Arga Safety.

Basic Working at Height Training is a beginner-level competence program designed for personnel who will work in industrial sites, construction projects, and maintenance-repair activities to manage risks caused by gravity.
