Mobile Horizontal Lifelines and Application Areas
Mobile horizontal lifeline systems are fall arrest solutions that are extremely easy to install and use in temporary works. These systems are manufactured from two different materials: steel and technical textiles. Technical textile models generally allow 2 people to work simultaneously, while systems manufactured from steel materials generally allow up to 4 people to work at the same time.
Certified by notified bodies according to EN 795:2012 TYPE C and TS 16415:2013 TYPE C standards, the areas where these lines are intensively used are as follows:
-
Bridge construction, maintenance, and repair works
-
Structural steel assembly and all kinds of construction projects
-
Roof cladding, cleaning, and periodic maintenance works
-
Crane installation and crane-top operations
-
Pipelines and aircraft hangars
Types of Mobile Horizontal Lifelines
There are two basic systems that can be preferred according to the requirements of the work site:
1- Steel Mobile Horizontal Lifeline
Particularly in the construction sector, these systems are extremely easy to install and remove on all concrete and steel structures. Manufactured from stainless steel or galvanized steel, this equipment has an adjustable length ranging between 4 and 30 meters.
-
Energy Dissipation: Thanks to the shock absorber on the system, it absorbs the impact in case of a possible fall, reducing the force to below 6 kN.
-
Corrosion Resistance: Models manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel exhibit high resistance to corrosion and wear, maintaining their lifespan even under demanding storage conditions.
2- Technical Textile Mobile Horizontal Lifeline
Manufactured from technical textile products, these lines stand out especially with their lightweight structure and ease of packing. They can be quickly installed and removed on concrete and steel anchorage points in all areas of industrial facilities.
-
Adjustable Mechanism: Thanks to the integrated ratchet adjustment mechanism, the required length can be easily adjusted between 4 and 20 meters.
-
Ergonomics: Due to its material structure, it provides extra convenience to the user during installation and carrying.
Safe Installation and Technical Support
Do not forget to get advice from ARGA SAFETY experts for the most appropriate mobile horizontal lifeline selection and installation procedures in all your temporary working at height projects. Correct choice of anchorage points and system tensioning are the basis of fall arrest performance.
