Flextra 140 D Y 53/1 Elastic Double Leg Shock Absorbing Lanyard is a professional Y-type double-leg fall arrest equipment that ensures personnel remain continuously secured during vertical and horizontal line transitions in working at height operations. It is equipped with a high working capacity of 140 kg, a flexible elastic webbing structure, a compact 20 mm Dyneema® tear-webbing shock absorber, and high-strength steel carabiner hardware. With dimensions of 1.19 m when retracted and 1.84 m when extended, it prevents snagging while offering full compliance with EN 355:2002 and PPE-R 11.062 standards.

Flextra 140 D Y 53/1 Elastic Double Leg Shock Absorbing Lanyard

Flextra 140 D Y 53/1 Elastic Double Leg Shock Absorbing Lanyard is specially designed to keep personnel 100% continuously secured (double leg Y principle) without disconnecting anchor ties when transitioning from one point to another during working at height activities on steel structures, scaffolding, towers, and industrial plants. Thanks to its elastic internal structure, it retracts when not under tension, preventing it from tangling around the personnel’s feet and snagging on surrounding obstacles, offering maximum freedom of movement and working comfort.

The shock absorber pack of the product is manufactured with high-strength, 20 mm wide Dyneema® (UHMWPE) tear webbing technology. In this way, it is much more compact, lightweight, and low-volume compared to conventional shock absorbers. In the event of a possible fall, it tears open progressively, reducing the impact force acting on the user’s body to below 6 kN. Thanks to high-strength bonded-type contrasting stitching threads, visual inspection processes are extremely practical. The labeling system housed inside a transparent protective sheath ensures that the serial number, production date, and periodic inspection records remain protected without fading, even in harsh field conditions.

The Flextra 140 D Y 53/1 model features an oval steel carabiner with 3-action automatic locking (OKS-14 T) on the shock absorber side, and double-action steel scaffold hooks (DSS-53) with a 51 mm gate opening at the ends of the lanyard legs. Operating reliably in extreme operating temperatures between -30°C and +70°C, the product is shipped in its own dedicated carrying bag.
